Artisanal organic wines from Le Marche, Italy - crafted with minimal intervention and maximum soul.

Ca’Liptra: Terroir-driven wines from the heart of Cupramontana

In the rolling hills of Le Marche, Ca’Liptra crafts soulful, small-batch wines from old vines and living soils. Founded in 2012 by four friends with deep roots in natural winemaking, this tiny estate is devoted to showcasing the expressive power of Verdicchio and the San Michele terroir.

Traditions and experimentation

At Ca’Liptra, ancient farming meets thoughtful innovation. The team works entirely by hand, farming organically with no fertilisers or synthetic treatments. Each parcel is vinified separately to preserve identity, and fermentations are spontaneous. From skin-contact whites to perpetual reserves, their work is guided more by taste and instinct than data.

Farming as restoration

Ca’Liptra farms just five hectares split across seven small parcels in San Michele, one of Cupramontana’s most historic crus. With vines dating back to 1948, they focus on balance over intervention. No fertilisers, cover crops tailored by parcel, minimal soil disturbance - their goal is to bring complexity and harmony back to the vineyard.

San Michele: A geological amphitheatre

The vineyards sit between 200–400 meters, in a natural amphitheatre shaped by ancient limestone, marl, clay, and gypsum. This is the warmest part of Cupramontana, with full sun and cool Adriatic breezes that preserve freshness. These conditions yield wines that are concentrated, structured, and deeply saline.

Verdicchio: The best-kept secret we’ll let out of the bag

Verdicchio is at the heart of Ca’Liptra’s identity - grown on old vines in limestone-rich soils and shaped by Adriatic breezes. The wines are electric and textured, with citrus peel, crushed herbs, and marine minerality. Far from ordinary, these Verdicchios show just how profound the grape can be when it’s treated with care.

21 S. Michele: A Singular Expression

A field blend from one of Ca’Liptra’s oldest parcels, 21 S. Michele is fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees in old wood. It’s a textured white with notes of fennel, citrus oil, and flint. Rich but lifted, this wine captures the layered soils and salt-kissed breeze of San Michele in every glass.
